Heaping lavish praise on Sharma for his unbelievable 264 against Sri Lanka, Kohli said: "It was one of such days that I can tell my kids later on, that I was present there. Such a wonderful day for Rohit and I am really happy for him... the first batsman to score two double hundreds. I don't think it can be broken any time soon."

Kohli, who scored 66 runs and stitched a 202-run partnership with Sharma, said he kept on egging the Mumbaikar during times when they were finding it difficult to score freely.

"Once he gets going, you can see what kind of player he is. He is such a dangerous player towards the end.

"There was a time even Rohit would admit that things were not quite easy and runs were not coming. I kept on telling him to carry on. Once he gets past 60-70, it's almost impossible to stop him and he proved that once again," he said.

Kohli, who is leading the side in the absence of regular skipper M.S. Dhoni who is nursing an injury, said he was enjoying the stint but waiting for tougher times that lay ahead.

"I am quite happy. As of now, I have more wins than losses. But your character is tested when the team is not in a great position and that time will come soon and I will be able to test myself.

"Right now, the guys have delivered whatever is expected from them," said Kohli, who will also also be captaining in the first Test against Australia later in the year.

Kohli reiterated that the team was working towards its quest of "being ruthless".
