Kolkata, July 15 - Indian Premier League's (IPL) governing council chairman Rajiv Shukla on Wednesday said its proposed meeting on Sunday will cosntitute a committee which will look into the best interests of the league.
"In the governing council meeting on Sunday, we will form a committee which will look into the best interest of the players, the IPL," Shukla told reporters here emerging midway into an emergency meeting with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya and knit a damage-control strategy.

Two IPL franchises - Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals - were on Tuesday suspended from the league for two years by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice Lodha Committee in the spot fixing and betting scandal that rocked the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament in 2013.
Shukla also said there was time left before the next edition of the tourney and therefore there was no need to rush.
"We do not need to rush, we still have time before the next IPL," he said. The meeting is scheduled on Sunday and reportedly it will be held in Mumbai.
