Chasing a total of 172, DC lost three wickets inside the powerplay and could only make 43 runs. Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, and Mandeep Singh were all sent packing by high pace bowling from Titans upfront.

Rishabh Pant and Lalit Yadav added 61 runs in 41 balls for the fourth wicket to keep DC in the game. Things were looking good for Delhi as long as the duo was at crease but an unfortunate runout of Lalit, who scored 25 off 22, in the 12th over opened the gate for Titans.

Lockie Ferguson, who had already got two wickets in his first spell, got Pant out in the 14th over. Axar Patel followed his captain in the same over as DC got reduced to 126/6.

Post that, it was a formality for Gujarat to keep bowling as none of the DC batters could show fight and fell short by 14 runs at the end of the inning and lost nine wickets.

Ferguson finished with four wickets, Mohammad Shami got two, and Hardik Pandya & Rashid Khan picked one each.

Earlier, Shubman Gill smashed 84 off 46 balls to guide GT to 171/6. Gill hit four sixes and six fours during his knock and looked solid throughout. He added 65 runs with Hardik for the third wicket to set up the inning.

With not much pace on the wicket, accelerating the run-scoring was a tough task but Gill playing for 17 overs meant Titans went past the 150-run mark.

For DC, Mustafizur Rahman picked three wickets, Khaleel Ahmed two, and Kuldeep Yadav one.
