The ball went straight with full speed towards Harpreet Brar fielding at cover point. The 26-year old orthodox bowler had little time to react to the incoming 'bullet'. He held his hand out to take the catch and the ball popped out of his hand. Harpreet however, displayed good reflexes and caught the ball with his left hand on the second attempt.

Venkatesh Iyer was dismissed after scoring just 3 runs in 7 balls, continuing his bad run. In the first match, the left-handed opener managed run-a-ball 16 runs against Chennai Super Kings and was run out for a score of 10 runs in 14 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Venky was instrumental in KKR reaching the finals in IPL 2021 and it'd be crucial for the team as to when the opener regains form.
