However, Rohit Sharma has often taken some amazing catches on the field and once again displayed his fitness in the 1st T20I between India and West Indies, a catch that left every 'pundit' shocked.

In the ongoing match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the last ball of West Indies innings gave every cricket fan a genuinely amazing moment. On the last ball of the 20th over, being bowled by Harshal Patel, Odean Smith opened his hands and went for a huge shot. However, the Windies finisher didn't get the timing right as he went into the shot a bit early and miscued it the ball high and towards mid-off.

Suryakumar went towards the catch from long-off and captain Rohit ran from his extra cover position. The 34-year old captain ran sideways and took the catch cleanly while running, and managed to diligently avoid Surya who was also coming in for the catch. This catch left everyone in awe, from fans to players and even commentators.

While talking about the match, West Indies posted 157/7 in 20 overs after being put in to bat first. Nicholas Pooran was the star with his 43-ball-61 while debutant Ravi Bishnoi and Harsha Patel remained as the highest wicket-takers for India with 2 wickets each. This is the 1st T20I of the 3-match series which is to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
