Scorecard India vs Australia

Man of the Match - Steve Smith (Australia)

Steve Smith: It feels fantastic. We thought 330 was par. The boys did a fantastic job. Bring on Melbourne. It was a big stage, I am happy we got over the line in the end. I always thank those who helped me along the way. I am just looking forward to Melbourne. Me and Maxi were sure that Rahane hit that. The guys behind the stumps could not hear it. It was a nice one to get. Another big hundred will be nice! It will be an amazing moment to play the final against New Zealand. New Zealand have played very well, hopefully we can put on a show.

Michael Clarke: The boys have played some outstanding cricket. I am really proud of the bowlers. Everybody chipped in today. Huge congratulations to MS Dhoni and the Indian team. We have to be at our best against New Zealand. Brendon has got a good team. I am looking forward to it. I hope so many Aussies will come out to support us.

MS Dhoni: I think overall, they played very good cricket. Over 300 is a difficult score to chase. I felt it was just over par. We came back quite well with the ball. We could have bowled well. We got a big of reverse swing going. I think the fast bowlers could have done slightly better. Shikhar's dismissal was on the softer side. That was the time he could have made the opposition pay. He could have batted for a few more overs. he did not really need to play that shot, but there is pressure in big chases.
