IND vs PAK Match Preview

Team India registered a thrilling last-over win against Pakistan in their first match of Asia Cup 2022. Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India in that match with 35 runs along with Ravindra Jadeja, who also made 35 runs but now has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Hardik Pandya's 33* off 17 balls was the game changer as he took the team to victory in the last over with a six. Suryakumar Yadav would be another danger for Pakistan, who is coming in red hot with 68*(26) against Hong Kong.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya were the most successful bowlers against Pakistan. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed 4 wickets, Hardik registered 3 important wickets as Pakistan were bowled out before completing the full 20 overs. Arshdeep picked up 2 wickets in the match while Avesh Khan also grabbed a wicket. However, Yuzvendra Chahal would be a concern for India, who hasn't managed a wicket yet in this tournament.

Pakistan made a strong comeback after their loss against India, dismantling Hong Kong both with the bat and the ball. After being put in to bat first, Rizwan, who scored 43 runs against India, smacked an unbeaten 78 against Hong Kong. Fakhar Zaman contributed with 53 runs while Khushdil smacked a quickfire 35 runs off 15 balls to get Pakistan to a good total. However, Babar Azam's lack of runs in these two matches would be a concern for the Pakistan team.

After losing a close-fought match against India while defending 147, Pakistan bowlers made an elegant comeback against Hong Kong, bowling them out for just 38 runs in 10.4 overs. Against India, 19-year-old pacer Naseem Shah stood out with 2 big wickets - KL Rahul (0) and Suryakumar Yadav (18). Naseem grabbed 2 wickets in the match against Hong Kong as well. Mohammad Nawaz has grabbed 3 wickets each in both the matches, while Shadab Khan picked up 4 wickets in the match against Hong Kong to pull the opposition batting apart.
