7th April, New Delhi (CRICKETNMORE) - In a game dominated by batsman and with each passing day batting records being broken in a jiffy, bowlers have to continuously evolve in order to combat the shifting of balance. Infact, cricket is not only about batting but bowling too plays a major part in it. Even as the IPL has seen innovative strokes like MS Dhoni's helicopter shot or Kevin Pitersen's switch hit, it has also brought in the slower bouncer, the knuckle ball and many other tricks into the bowlers armoury. Thus, in order to reward the most successful bowler in an IPL edition, the purle cap is presented to him.
