Devdutt Padikkal went for a golden duck, while uncomfortable looking Kohli fell prey to Nortje in the 3rd over. Srikar Bharat who was once again given a chance to bat at #3 after he was replaced by Dan Christian for a couple of matches. Bharat proved this decision right as he smacked the first fifty for #3 batter in IPL 2021 for RCB. AB de Villiers who came at #4 to bat, also scored a cautious 26 off 26.

However, Glenn Maxwell, with the help of 8 fours & 3 dropped catches, scored 51* off 33 and stood at the crease with KS Bharat - who scored 78* off 52 balls with 3 fours & 4 sixes constructed a partnership of 111 runs to finish the match with a win for Bangalore.
For DC, Nortje picked up 2 wickets and Axar got 1.
In the first innings, Delhi Capitals' openers - Shaw & Dhawan powered DC to 164/5 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Shaw scored 48 off 31 with 4 fours and 2 sixes while Dhawan scored 43 off 35 with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Shaw & Dhawan built a partnership of 88 in 10 overs.
However, DC then lost Shaw, Dhawan & Pant in successive overs which slowed down the run rate a bit. Hetmeyer also at the end finished with 29 off 22 with 2 fours and 2 sixes but was caught out on the last bowl. For RCB, Siraj picked up 2 wickets while Chahal, Patel & Christian got 1 each.
