IPL Auction: Auctioneer Hugh Edmeads wasn't 100% fit so Charu Sharma once again resumed the duties to conduct the second day of the IPL Mega Auction that saw both cautious and aggressive bidding in the pre-lunch session.

The day began with the batters set where not much interest was generated among the teams. Aiden Markram was the most expensive in that set and got sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2.6 Crore. Ajinkya Rahane and Mandeep Singh were the other two batters to get bidders. Rahane went to Kolkata while Mandeep was bought by Delhi.

However, the allrounders set charged up the room. Liam Livingstone forced a bidding war and inflated his price up to INR 11.5 Crore before Punjab Kings eventually got him. Odean Smith again got interest among franchises but Punjab again won the bid and got the West Indian for INR 6 Crore. 

Hyderabad got Marco Jansen for INR 4.2 Crores while Shivam Dube went to Chennai with a salary of INR 4 Crores. 

Among fast bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed attracted bidders. The left-arm pacer was bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 5.25 Crore. Delhi got another left armer in the form of Chetan Sakariya for INR 4.2 Crore.

Spinners and uncapped batters didn't get much attention were sold in budget buys. The most expensive player in the final two sets was Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana, who got INR 70 Lakhs and went to Chennai Super Kings.
