Kochi is set to host the IPL 2023 Mini Auction on December 23rd, where 10 franchises would look to fill their remaining 87 spots for the Indian Premier League 2023 season. A total of 405 players have registered for the auction and would hope to get picked to play in the biggest franchise T20 league in the world.
There are 282 uncapped players on the list, including 4 players from associate nations. Out of the 87 available slots, 30 slots are for overseas players. A total of 19 overseas players have set their base price on the highest available bracket, INR 2 crores.

Afghanistan bowler Allah Ghazanfar is the youngest cricketer out of the 405 players registered for the auction. Young Afghan spinners like Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rehman have been impressive and teams can go for the young player's services. Ghazanfar was born on July 15th, 2007, just months before the idea of the Indian Premier League was brought into being. The young Afghan spinner is currently aged 15 years and 151 days.
The young player made his name when he took four wickets for just 15 runs in a match against Hinukush Stars in the latest edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League in August this year. On the other hand, the oldest player available in the IPL 2023 mini-auction is Indian spinner, Amit Mishra. Amit Mishra is currently 40 years and 19 days old and has registered his name for the IPL 2023 mini auction after getting released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2023 season.

Amit Mishra has an excellent record in the T20s with 272 wickets in 244 matches, averaging 22.38 while maintaining an economy of 7.14. In IPL, the veteran spinner has played 154 games and has registered 166 wickets to his name while averaging 23.97.
