After setting up Haseeb Hameed in the 2nd over, Jhye Richardson finally got his man on the last ball of the over. RIchardson pitched the short length ball on a line where the seam could've gone either way. The ball was angling inwards which tempted the batter.

However, the extra bounce beat the English batter and the ball touched through the batter's glove as he was lunging low to defend the ball. Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey took a simple catch to get Richardson his first wicket in this comeback test.
