England captain Joe Root is playing his 100th test match at Chennai. Root has become the third-youngest player to play 100 test matches and the 15th English cricketer to do so. Root has made 8249 run
Joe Root has become the first player to play the first, 50th, and 100th Test match on foreign soil. Root made his debut in Vidarbha against India in December 2012.
