Town Club won the toss and put Kalighat in to bat. Openers Jayojit and Prinan gave Kalighat a flying start with a century partnership as they managed to post 149 for four in their 20 overs.

Jayojit made 51 (3x4, 2x6) off as many balls while Prinan scored 56 (6x4, 1x6) off 51 balls to frustrate Town bowlers as Ananta Saha, Aritra Chatterjee and Mohammed Kaif bagged a wicket each.

When asked about the much-needed win, Prinan said, "We need this momentum. We were losing games in the last overs. We certainly did well there. For a better start to the innings, we made changes in the opening department today and are very glad to win this encounter."

While chasing, Kazi Junaid Saifi gave Town a good start with a quickfire 29-ball 41 along with skipper Avijit Singh's 32 but Kalighat pacers Satyaki Dutta removed the openers with consecutive deliveries to suddenly halt the chase for Town.

"We made changes in the opening pair, Prinan and I opened the innings and thankfully got a century partnership for the first wicket. Our target was to score 150-plus because today's wicket was more friendly for the batters and I am very happy for this win," said another Kalighat half-centurion Jayojit.

Satyaki bagged three wickets for 31 runs while Amit Kuila picked two leakings just 27 runs and restricted their opponents to 135/7.
