MI vs LSG IPL 2022: KL Rahul was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings in Lucknow Super Giants' last match against Rajasthan Royals, and LSG were handed a 3-run defeat. However, captain Rahul showed up against Mumbai Indians and smacked his third IPL ton, while remaining unbeaten.

Batting first, KL Rahul came out to open for Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul was dismissed for 0(1) in the last match as he failed to read an inswinging delivery by Trent Boult and was dismissed for a golden duck. However, in the next match against Mumbai Indians, being Rahul's 100th match, the skip didn't flutter as he smacked a ton to take his team to a good total.

KL Rahul smacked 9 fours and 5 sixes in his unbeaten innings, maintaining a strike rate of 171.67. Rahul completed his fifty in 33 balls and then went on to smack 53 more runs in the next 27 balls. This is KL Rahul's maiden century while playing for Lucknow Super Giants, his second IPL ton against Mumbai Indians, and the third IPL century in his career. 

Prior to IPL 2022, KL Rahul was the captain of Punjab Kings. However, the Indian batter decided to play for any other team and wasn't retained by Punjab. KL Rahul was then picked by Lucknow Super Giants as a draft pick, for 17 crores INR and was named the leader of the new franchise.

While talking about the match, Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants in the 26th match of IPL 2022. KL Rahul smacked a wonderful ton and powered his team to a total of 199/4 in 20 overs. Rahul smacked 103 runs in 60 balls, smacking 9 fours and 5 sixes to bring up his maiden ton for LSG, his second against Mumbai Indians and his third IPL century. Mumbai Indians now need 200 runs in 20 overs to register their first win after 5 consecutive losses.
