Delhi Capitals have now jumped to the fourth spot in the points table.
In the do-or-die match, Delhi Capitals managed to come out on top and defeat Punjab Kings by 17 runs to get ahead in the race of playoff qualification. DC scored 159/7 on the back of Mitchell Match's 63 off 48. PBKS fell short by 17 runs as Delhi's spin duo - Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav - and Shardul Thakur wreaked havoc in Punjab's batting lineup.

After the win last night, Delhi Capitals have climbed to the fourth spot in the points table as Royal Challengers Bangalore slipped to the fifth spot; both teams have 14 points but DC have a superior positive NRR while RCB have a negative NRR.
Gujarat Titans (have already qualified), Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants are currently the top three teams (in that order). GT have 20 points while RR and LSG have 16 points each.
Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are 6th, 7th, & 8th in the table; they are hoping to have the next few results in their favor to keep themselves in the competition. KKR and PBKS have 12 points in 13 games while SRH have 10 points in 12 games.
Even though Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are knocked out, they can still make or break the table while spoilsport for the rest of the teams. Their role will be huge in the upcoming six games that will decide who will be the eventual top four teams.

Despite poor outings in the last few games, Jos Buttler(627) and KL Rahul(469) continue to be at the top of the most run-scorers list this season followed by David Warner at third with 427 runs. Shikhar Dhawan is fourth in the list with 421 runs followed by Deepak Hooda with 406 runs.
