The win was set up by Jos Buttler, who scored his third century of the season, to take RR to IPL 2022's highest team total of 222/2. The run chase turned out to be a dramatic one where DC almost pulled it off despite needing 36 runs in the last over. A non-no-ball drama overshadowed what turned out to be a high-scoring thriller.
