After the win, Lucknow Super Giants became the second team after Gujarat Titans to officially qualify for the IPL 2022 playoff. Kolkata Knight Riders joined Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in the list of eliminated teams as they finished their league with 12 points in 14 matches.
Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are still competing for the last two spots in the top four. RR are almost through, sitting with 16 points in 13 games with a great positive NRR so the worst they can finish is at fourth place.
DC are looking favorites to qualify given they have 14 points and a healthy NRR. Although RCB too have 14 points, their NRR is negative so they'll have to win with a considerable margin and hope DC lose by a significant margin.
Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have 12 points each and have a negative NRR which means they are more or less out of the race and are only hoping for a mathematical chance to qualify.
