In a Monday night low-scoring game, Kolkata Knight Riders kept themselves alive in the race of playoffs as they defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in match 47 of the IPL 2022. Chasing a below-par total of 153, Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana guided KKR to the target with five balls to spare. The game was set up by disciplined bowling from the Knight Riders as they halted an in-form batting lineup to 152/5 despite Sanju Samson's 54 (that came in 49 balls).
