Latest IPL 2022 Points Table, Orange Cap & Purple Cap Holder After MI vs DC Match 69

Delhi Capitals have been knocked out and Royal Challengers Bangalore have qualified for the IPL 2022 playoff.

On a thrilling Saturday night, Mumbai Indians managed to knock Delhi Capitals out of the tournament as they chased down the 160-run target with five wickets in hand. MI's win was set up by Jasprit Bumrah's three-fer in the first inning that restricted DC to 159/7. Mumbai's run chase was powered by Ishan Kishan and Tim David. 

Latest IPL 2022 Points Table 

The result has decided the top four teams for the playoffs - Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. GT finished with 20 points, RR and LSG with 18 points, and RCB with 16 points. 

Delhi Capitals only managed 14 points in their 14 games. Kolkata Knight Riders with 12 points. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians with eight points each. 

Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have still one game left but they are already knocked out of the qualification. PBKS and SRH have 12 points each in 13 games.

Latest Orange Cap Holder 

Jos Buttler currently leads the orange cap race with 629 runs followed by KL Rahul's 537 and Quinton de Kock with 502 runs. Faf du Plessis has 443 and is fourth on the list while David Warner scored 432 runs. 

Latest Purple Cap Holder 

Yuzvendra Chahal currently wears the purple cap with 26 wickets followed by Wanindu Hasaranga's 24 wickets and Kagiso Rabada with 22 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav finished with 21 wickets while Umran Malik has 21 scalps as well.
