Latest IPL 2022 Points Table, Orange Cap & Purple Cap Holder After RCB vs CSK Match 49
Royal Challengers Bangalore have made their way back to the top 4 in the points table after winning against Chennai Super Kings.
On Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a crucial win against defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the 49th match of the IPL 2022. After being put in to bat first, RCB batters put up a collective effort to post 173/8 in 20 overs.
Youngster Mahipal Lomror was the top scorer with 42 runs in 27 balls, while captain Du Plessis scored 38 runs in 22 balls. CSK in turn were halted to 160/8, with opener Devon Conway (56) as the top scorer. Harshal Patel picked up 3 wickets for RCB while Glenn Maxwell managed 2 wickets to his name.

After a win against defending champions Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore have moved to the 4th position in the points table. With 6 wins in 11 matches, RCB have 12 points to their name. While CSK suffered their 7th loss in 10 matches and are still placed 9th, virtually knocked out of the playoff race.
Gujarat Titans are still atop the points table with 16 points to their name in 10 matches, winning 8 and losing 2. Titans are followed by Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals in the top 4, with 14 & 12 points respectively.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings are placed 5th and 6th respectively with 10 points each, followed by Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders with 8 points. CSK are placed 9th with 6 points in 10 matches, followed by Mumbai Indians with only 1 win in 9 matches.
