All-round domination by Royal Challengers Bangalore helped them beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs in match 31 of the IPL 2022 played at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.

Royals posted a par total of 181/6 courtesy of Faf du Plessis' 96 from 64 balls. In reply, Super Giants couldn't close the game as Josh Hazlewood took a four-wicket haul.

Latest IPL 2022 Points Table 

After the win last night, RCB moved to the second spot with 10 points. Gujarat Titans are at the first position with 10 points. Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad fill the third, fourth, and fifth spots with eight points. 

KKR are at sixth spot followed by Punjab Kings at the seventh with six points. Delhi Capitals are eight in the table with four points, Chennai Super Kings at ninth with two points while Mumbai Indians are struggling at the bottom with six losses in as many games. 

Latest Orange Cap Holder 

Jos Buttler continued to wear the orange cap this season with 375 runs in six innings after he hit another century this season. KL Rahul is at the second spot with 265 runs and Faf du Plessis has once again entered the top three in the race of orange cap with 250 runs in seven games. 

Latest Purple Cap Holder

Yuzvendra Chahal continues to wear the purple cap with 17 wickets in six matches so far. T Natarajan is second in the purple cap race with 12 wickets followed by Kuldeep Yadav, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Avesh Khan - all with 11 wickets each.
