Punjab Kings emerged victorious against Royal Challenger Bangalore in the 60th match, dominating in both the fields and kept their chances alive for the playoffs. After scoring 209/9 in the first innings, courtesy of explosive fifties from Jonny Bairstow & Liam Livingstone. PBKS bowlers followed up with a good performance, restricting RCB to 155/9 in 20 overs and winning the match by 54 runs.

With a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings have gained two spots on the points table and are now placed sixth, with 12 points in 12 matches. However, not much has changed in the top half muddle of the table, with Gujarat Titans & Lucknow Super Giants on top, followed by Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings & Sunrisers Hyderabad.
DC have 12 points in 12 games, SRH 10 in 11 games, KKR 10 in 12 games, and PBKS 12 in 12 games.
In the upper half of the points table, Gujarat Titans have already qualified for the playoffs. Lucknow Super Giants have 16 points and are possibly one win away from officially qualifying into the playoffs. Jos Buttler is still the Orange Cap holder with 625 runs in 12 matches, followed by LSG skipper KL Rahul with 459 runs in 12 matches.

Wanindu Hasaranga picked up 2 wickets for RCB against PBKS and has risen to the #1 spot in the Purple Cap race, with 23 wickets in 13 matches.
