Yusuf Pathan and Tanmay Srivastava smacked half-centuries while Pankaj Singh bowled excellently as India Maharajas thrashed World Giants by 6 wickets in the special match of Legends League Cricket 2022 at Eden Gardens on September 16th (Friday). Chasing a target of 170 runs, India Giants managed to reach the target in 18.4 overs with 4 wickets in hand.

After winning the toss & opting to bat first, World Giants scored 170 runs for 8 wickets in the 20 overs. World Giants' opener Kevin O'Brien scored 52 runs off 31 balls while Dinesh Ramdin smacked an unbeaten 29-ball-42 to provide good finishing for his team.

For India Maharajas, Pankaj Singh bowled brilliantly as he grabbed 5 wickets for 26 runs. Pankaj bowled the 20th over of the innings and picked up 3 wickets in the over without conceding a single run. 

India Maharajas got off to a bad start in the run chase as Virender Sehwag was dismissed in the first over, and Maharajas went on to be at 50/3 with Sehwag, Parthiv Patel and Mohammad Kaif back to the pavilion. After this, Tanmay Srivastava and Yusuf Pathan etched a partnership of 103 runs for the 4th wicket.

Tanmay played 39 balls and smacked 8 fours & a six to score 54 runs. While Yusuf Pathan smashed 5 fours & 2 sixes in 35 balls to score an unbeaten 50 runs. Irfan Pathan completed the chase with three sixes in 9 deliveries, scoring 20 runs.
