New Zealand Innings - Brendon McCullum won the toss and opted to bat first. New Zealand posted a mammoth total of 398/5 from 50 overs. Ross Taylor (119 from 96 balls), K Williamson (93 off 88 balls) and Guptil (50 of 54 balls) were the main contributors with the bat. For England, none of the bowlers were able to control the runs. B Stokes took 2 wickets but conceded 66 runs from 9 overs.

England Innings - England fought brillinatly and lost the match by 13 runs (D/L method). Earlier J Roy (39) and A Hales set the momentum in England's favour by giving a solid opening start of 85 from 12 overs before Roy was dismissed by N McCullum. Eoin Morgan then led the team with a quick 88 from 47 balls. Important contributions came from lower batting order - J Butler (41), A Rashid (34) and L Plunkett (44) but England team managed to reach 365/9 in 46 overs and lost the match by 13 runs. For New Zealand N McCullum took 3 wickets.

Turn around - England were needing 54 in 37 ablls when rain interuppted the mathc. Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett going swiftly sharing an unbroken 70 for the eighth wicket. When match started after 45 minutes, England were given the revised target of 34 runs from 13 balls.

Series Score - Series is now levelled at 1-1 with three games to play.

Man of the Match - Ross Taylor was awarded man of the match for his 13th ODI ton which included 10 fours and four sixes.
