New Zealand Innings - Brendon McCullum won the toss and opted to bat first. New Zealand posted a mammoth total of 398/5 from 50 overs. Ross Taylor (119 from 96 balls), K Williamson (93 off 88 balls) and Guptil (50 of 54 balls) were the main contributors with the bat. For England, none of the bowlers were able to control the runs. B Stokes took 2 wickets but conceded 66 runs from 9 overs.
England Innings - England fought brillinatly and lost the match by 13 runs (D/L method). Earlier J Roy (39) and A Hales set the momentum in England's favour by giving a solid opening start of 85 from 12 overs before Roy was dismissed by N McCullum.
