But Smriti Mandhana continued at the other end, scoring 52 runs off 41 balls with 7 fours & a six. However, Mandhana was dismissed in the 16th over against Glenn and things looked bleak for the Indian side.

Richa Ghosh maintained her form as she smacked 47* runs off 34 balls, but the target proved too much for the 19-year-old. Sarah Glenn picked up 2 wickets for England while Lauren Bell and Sophie Ecclestone managed 1 wicket each.

In the first innings, after Renuka Singh shuffled through England's top order, experienced Nat Sciver-Brunt stepped up with a fifty, helping her team to 151/7 against India in the 14th match of Women's T20 World Cup 2023. Amy Jones and captain Heather Knight also made critical contributions with the bat.

Renuka Singh started off with excellent pace bowling, dismissing Danielle Wyatt on the 3rd bowl of the innings for a golden duck. The pacer then got Alice Capsey (3) on the first bowl of her next over, followed by Sophia Dunkley in the next over, as England were struggling at 29/3 in 4.4 overs.

From thereon, Nat Sciver Brunt and Heather Knight got together to stabilize the innings, etching a partnership of 51 runs for the 4th wicket. Knight was dismissed after scoring 28 runs. After that, Amy Jones added 40 runs with Nat for the 5th wicket. Nat Sciver-Brunt was dismissed after completing her fifty, while Amy Jones scored 40 runs before getting dismissed in the last over by Renuka.
