RCB vs SRH IPL 2022: Another cursed day landing on 23rd April on RCB, this time Marco Jansen was the nemesis that shattered RCB's top-order batting lineup. Dismissing captain Faf du Plessis, former captain Virat Kohli and young explosive opener Anuj Rawat in his first over, Jansen pushed RCB out of the game in the 2nd over of the game.
Coming into bowl the second over of RCB's inning, Jansen knocked over skipper Faf du Plessis who moved on his leg-side expecting the delivery to swing in and try to defend it. The ball pitched on fullish length held its line and managed to beat Faf's bat's outside edge to uproot the off stump, dismissing the RCB skipper for 5 runs in 7 balls with a boundary.

Former captain Virat Kohli came out to bat next at his regular #3 position. Jansen pitched the first delivery up at 140.5 KPH around the off-stump length and Kohli played it with hard hands, trying to push it through mid-on. The ball took a thick outside edge and went straight into the safe hands of Aiden Markram fielding at second slip. Virat Kohli was dismissed for his second consecutive golden duck in this IPL.
On the last ball of the over, Jansen delivered 135.6 KPH delivery on the length and got it to move slightly away from the left-handed RCB opener. Rawat jabbed at it with hard hands and got a thick outside edge, giving another catch to Aiden Markram on the second slip. Anuj Rawat was dismissed for a two-ball duck.
This was the third wicket for 21-year old South African pacer Marco Jansen. The left-handed bowler picked up 3 wickets while giving away just 3 runs in the over, including two wides
