His inning shows that age is no barrier as he becomes sixth oldest Test player to score a century at Lord's. He was 42 years and 47 days when he reached the his hundred on thursday. Infact, he became the oldest player to score a test century for 82 years. In 1934, England's Patsy Hendren made a century against Australia aged 45 at Manchester's Old Trafford ground.
