India vs Sri Lanka: In the second test match being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, India were restricted to 252 after opting to bat first. Team India fans were hoping for a good performance from the bowlers and the bowlers did so after captain Rohit Sharma started the bowling attack with Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin.
Various spectators were thinking as to why Mohammad Shami wasn't given the new Pink ball to bowl. Moreover, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets in the starting over and showed that even pacers can pick up wickets on this turning track.
As soon as Shami was given the ball, he excelled on the team's expectations and on the very first ball of his spell, the 31-year old right-arm fast-medium Indian clean bowled Dimuth Karunaratne. The Sri Lankan captain was left clueless as he was beaten by pace, Shami came around the wicket, pitched the delivery on the seam and the ball nipped in to dislodge the top of off-stump.
