India vs West Indies: In the first ODI between India and West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemdabad, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first. Indian bowling is rather inexperienced and without their regular attack, but Siraj struck in the 3rd over of the innings.
Shai Hope was batting on 8 in 9 balls with 2 boundaries. In the 3rd over of the innings, being bowled by Mohammad Siraj, Hope smacked two back-to-back fours on the 2nd and 3rd delivery. Both these deliveries displayed outswing by Siraj but no control, as Hope smacked these fours on the off-side.
On the 4th delivery, however, Siraj again pitched the delivery up but this time cunningly with a scrambled seam. The Windies batter attempted to drive the ball away from the body expecting an away-swinger. The ball however cut back in off the seam, took Hope's bat's inside edge and dislodged the middle and leg stump. This was a smart move by Siraj, bowling consecutive outswingers and following it up with a scrambled seam ball without changing the length.
BOWLED!
