Mumbai Indians(MI) scout and wicketkeeping consultant Kiran More has tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.

In an official statement made by the franchise, it was revealed that the former Indian wicket-keeper was asymptomatic and has been isolated according to the health guidelines and BCCI protocols.

"Mumbai Indians’ scout and wicket keeping consultant Mr. Kiran More has tested positive for Covid-19," the statement said. "Mr. More is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated. Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have followed all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mr. More’s health and abide by the BCCI protocols."

Mumbai Indians is currently training in Chennai and are scheduled to play the season opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9th April. 

There have been a lot of covid cases being reported in the last few days before the start of the IPL 2021. From ground staff, event managers, media officials to players like Axar Patel, Devdutt Padikkal, Nitish Rana, and now Kiran More have all been tested positive. 

Devdutt Padikkal, Nitish Rana, and most of the ground staff from Wankhede Stadium have now returned negative yet the danger of the virus spread is still there in and around the bio-bubbles.
