Netherlands will face off against Namibia in the fifth match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, on Tuesday, October 18 at Geelong. 

Both teams won their opening matches. In the first match of the World Cup, Namibia stunned the Asia Cup winner, Sri Lanka, after humiliating their opponents in all three departments and winning the game by a big margin of 55 runs.

Sri Lanka after winning the toss called Namibia to bat first. The Namibian team accepted the challenge and with the help of Frylinck (44 runs), Smit (33* runs) helped the team get to a competitive 163/7 runs.

While defending the total, Namibian bowling totally outclassed Sri Lanka and bowled out them just for 108 runs. David Wiese (2/16), Scholtz (2/18), Shikongo (2/22), Frylinck (2/26), and Smit (1/16) were the players who put down Sri Lankans in distress.

The Netherlands on the other hand scrapped its way toward an easy three-wicket win over UAE in the second match of the T20 World Cup.

While batting first, the Dutch side bundled UAE to 111/8 where all-rounder Bas De Leede clinched 3/19 in just three overs, Klaasen got 2/13 whereas Tim Pringle and van der Merve got one wicket each.

The Dutch side came to chase a low total but struggled to get runs and also carried pressure on their shoulder due to reckless shots and wickets in quick succession.

The team managed to get past the total with three wickets remaining. Max (23 runs) got the top score, 17 was the second-best score by Ackermann for the Netherlands.
