While covering up the first-inning chase of 438 runs, New Zealand has reached 334/3, while flamboyant Kane Williamson is still at the crease at 53 not out and Daryl Mitchell supporting the former skipper with his 41 runs in 38 deliveries.

Earlier in the first session, Tom Latham smacked 113 runs which is the 13th test hundred by the south-paw batter has partnered 193 runs for the opening wicket with Devon Conway who went unlucky as he couldn't able to capitalize on his fine inning of 92 runs into a hundred.

Pakistan's bowling is now revolving around Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmed who has scalped 2-2 wickets. However, the rest of the bowlers have not put any pressure on the Kiwi batters.

Pakistan scored 438 runs in the first inning where Babar Azam thrashed 161 runs with 15 fours and 1 six. Agha Salman played his best knock in test cricket as he scored 103 runs in 155 balls with 17 fours.

Experienced campaigner Sarfaraz Ahmed who replaced Mohammad Rizwan, missed his hundred but knocked 86 runs in his comeback match.

The Kiwi bowlers didn't go well as they lose a lot of runs without taking wickets at regular intervals. Captain Tim Southee scalped 3 wickets, and Ajaz Patel, Michael Bracewell, and Ish Sodhi got two-two wickets each. Wagner also got one success.
