In the ongoing practice warm-up game between Leicestershire and India, Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant smacked a half-century and zipped his critics' mouths. However, this fifty by Pant was against and not for team India, but while playing for Leicestershire.

Pant didn't care a bit about the Indian bowlers and in his own thunderous style smacked 76 runs, laced with boundaries. Due to this tremendous knock by Rishabh Pant, Leicestershire were able to make a comeback in this match.

The explosive keeper-batter came on to bat at #4 and in an aggressive nature, scored his fifty off 71 deliveries and then went on to smack 26 runs off the next 16 balls. The 24-year-old smacked 14 fours and 2 sixes in his knock.     

A special aspect of this inning was Rishabh Pant took on his own teammates and thrashed them, no matter whether it was Shami or Siraj. Moreover, Rishabh Pant scooped Umesh Yadav which went for a six with a top edge. Pant reached his fifty with this six and a video of the same has been uploaded by Leicestershire on their official Twitter account.

However, once Pant was dismissed, Leicestershire batters fell like a pack of cards and team India attained a 2-run lead in the first innings. Now it'll be interesting to see how team India bats in the second innings as the fans were rather disappointed with the team's performance in the first innings. Although Pant managed to brighten up the fans' moods.
