PBKS vs CSK IPL 2022: Comeback stories are the ones that every cricket fan loves to listen to and cherish, and even more so witnessing one. A similar story was lived in the match between Punjab Kings & Chennai Super Kings, where Punjab's Rishi Dhawan struck with an important on his return to IPL after 5 years.

Defending a target of 188, Punjab Kings needed a good start with the ball and they got one as Robin Uthappa was dismissed in the 2nd over, while bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner was dismissed in the 6th over on a team score of 30 runs. Shivam Dube, who has registered 239 runs in 7 innings in IPL 2022 till now, came out to bat next.

With opener Ruturaj Gaikwad on the crease and in form Shivam Dube at the other end, Chennai were banking on this partnership to take the chase close. Rishi Dhawan, who played his last IPL match in 2016, made his entrance in the PBKS' playing XI for the match against CSK. 

In his second over, and the 7th over of CSK's innings, Dhawan struck with a wicket after nearly 6 years. On the last delivery of the over, Shivam Dube was on strike. Rishi Dhawan delivered a length delivery and Dube went for a drive through the off-side. However, the left-hander only managed to get an inside edge with the ball going on to shatter the stumps. Dube was dismissed after scoring 8 runs in 7 balls with a boundary.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss & opted to bowl first against Punjab Kings in the 38th match of IPL 2022. With Dhawan's unbeaten 88 and Bhanuka's responsible knock, Punjab Kings managed to set a target of 188 runs in front of CSK to get their third win this season. This match is being played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
