Soon after the decision was taken by the IPL Governing Council and BCCI, Rajasthan Royals'(RR) young gun Riyan Parag tweeted about the postponement hilariously.

Only 29 matches were completed in IPL 2021 before several players including Varun Chakravarthy, Wriddhiman Saha, Amit Mishra, Sandeep Warrier, L Balaji tested positive within 24 hours.
Parag played all seven games for RR this season in which he made 78 runs and took one wicket. He was always trending during Rajasthan's match due to his celebrations. His selfie celebration and dance were some of the highlights of the season.
