Rohit was eyeing another win in the match and then forced West Indies to play a do-or-die game for the rest of the series. However, Obed McCoy had other plans. The West Indian pacer bowled a skiddy short ball angled across the Indian skipper. Rohit was neither forward nor back - poked half-heartedly and sent a thick leading edge to Akeal Hosein at backward point. Rohit was beaten with extra pace and walked back with a wry smile after getting dismissed for a golden duck.

McCoy went on to bowl the over without conceding a run. Moreover, the bowler struck with his first ball in his second over as he removed Suryakumar Yadav for 11 runs.
