DC vs KKR IPL 2022: Rovman Powell finally displayed his finishing skills as he takes Delhi Capitals to a 4-wicket win against Kolkata Knight Riders.
DC vs KKR IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals were a part of a huge drama in their last match, where DC all-rounder Rovman Powell smacked 3 sixes in the first three balls while trying to get 36 off the last over. But then, after an appeal for no-ball and what-not from the DC dugout, Powell failed to finish the match.
However, in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Powell played his part to perfection as he finished the match with 1 over remaining. The West Indian scored an unbeaten 33 runs in 16 balls with a four & 3 sixes while chasing a low total of 147 in 20 overs.

Even though chasing a low total, Delhi at one stage were at 84/4 in 11 overs when Rovman Powell came on to bat. DC required another 62 runs in 54 balls to win the match against KKR bowling, who were bowling effectively picking up wickets.
However, Powell held one end and held the crease with Axar Patel after Rishabh Pant was dismissed in the 12th over. Axar Patel also scored 24 runs in 17 balls before he was run out courtesy of a brilliant throw by Shreyas Iyer. In the end, Powell smacked a six on the last delivery of the 19th over, being bowled by KKR captain Shreyas Iyer who took his team across the finishing line.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant won the toss & opted to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 41st match of IPL 2022. After a top-order slump, Nitish Rana scored 57 runs in 34 balls while captain Shreyas Iyer contributed with 42 runs in 37 balls to take the team total to 146/9 in 20 overs. For DC, Kuldeep Yadav picked up 4 wickets while Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3.

In the second innings, David Warner powered DC to a good start with his 42 runs in 26 balls despite losing Prithvi Shaw on the first ball of the innings. Rovman Powell scored an unbeaten 33 runs in 16 balls while Axat scored 24 runs in 17 balls to take the team over the finishing line with an over and 4 wickets left in hand. This match was played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
