In the first ODI being played between Pakistan and West Indies in Multan, Pakistan's Shadab Khan displayed an excellent fielding performance, attracting the attention of fans from all around. Shadab dived in the air and took a one-handed catch while airborne.

This happened on the last delivery in the 31st over of the West Indies' batting. Shamarh Brooks was looking in form on the crease and Shadab Khan, positioned at short third man took the catch to dismiss Brooks. Shamarh Brooks tried to slog sweep the bowl for a big hit but only managed a thick edge of his bat as the ball went into the air.

At first, it seemed like the ball would land safely away from the fielder. However, Shadab Khan ran for the catch and dived in the air with his left hand out. With a full-length dive, the ball stuck in the fielder's hand and Shadab completed the catch.

It is noteworthy that international cricket has returned to Multan after 14 years. Before this, Pakistan played ODI against Bangladesh in 2008. While talking about the West Indies, the Windies team hasn't been able to win a single ODI series in Pakistan since 1991. 

While writing this piece, West Indies have scored 223 runs at a loss of 4 wickets after 41 overs. Shai Hope (114*) and Rovman Powell (4*) are at the crease for the tourists. Earlier, Windies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss & opted to bat first against Pakistan in the first ODI.
