As a part of the preparations, India are facing off against Leicestershire in a 4-day warm-up game at Grace Road, Leicester. After Bharat's batting performance took India to 246/8, Rohit declared the Indian innings at the start of Day 2 and Mohammad Shami struck for team India with two quick wickets.
After captain Samuel Evans added just 14 runs for the opening wicket with opener Louis Kimber, Shami dismissed Evans as Kohli completed an easy catch in the slips. The Leicestershire skipper was dismissed after scoring just 1 run.

Pujara was dismissed for a duck while Shami spread his arms around in celebration, and ran towards Pujara, jumping over the batter with his hands on Pujara's shoulder, celebrating his regular teammate's wicket with happiness.
