In the 2nd T20I at Lauderhill in 2019, India posted 167/5 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Rohit Sharma remained the star with the bat as he scored 67 runs off 51 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes while opening the innings for India. After rain interrupted the match, the target was revised to 121 in 15.3 overs for Windies. However, Windies were restricted to 98/4 in 15.3 overs. Krunal Pandya picked up 2 wickets while Sundar and Bhuvneshwar picked up 1 each.

Rohit Sharma loves thrashing Windies bowlers, and he expressed this love yet again in the 2nd T20I at Lucknow in 2018. Rohit Sharma smashed 111* runs in 61 balls and powered India to 195/2 in 20 overs after being put in to bat first. In reply, the Indian bowling attack choked Windies batters as they managed to score 124/9 in their quota of 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav registered 2 wickets each to their name.
