5) Australia vs South Africa, 2006

In the 2006 tour to South Africa, Australia chased down 292 runs in the 4th innings and won the match by just two wickets. Damien Martyn led the chase with his 101 along with Michael Hussey's 89. Brett Lee(24*) and Michael Kasprowicz remained not out to finish the chase. 

4) Sri Lanka vs South Africa, 2019 

In 2019, Sri Lanka won a thriller of a match as they chased down 304 runs in the final innings by just one wicket. Kusal Perera was the star of the match as he remained not out on 153. He got good support from Dhananjaya de Silva, who scored 48. 

3) Australia vs South Africa, 2011 

In the 2011 tour of South Africa, Australia played yet another classic match that went down to the wire. Australia chased down 310 runs in the 4th innings. It was a run chase that had contributions of almost every batter. Usman Khawaja top-scored with 65 runs. Debutant Pat Cummins finished the game with a four as Australia won by two wickets. 

2) Australia vs South Africa, 2002 

Yet another big Aussie run chase in South Africa, this time in 2002. Led by Ricky Ponting's unbeaten 100 and Mathew Hayden's 96, Australia chased down 331 runs with four wickets to spare.

In 1950, Australia chased down 336 runs - the highest successful run chase in South Africa to date. Neil Harvey remained unbeaten on 151 to help Australia chase down the target with five wickets in hand. Interestingly, Australians were bowled out for 75 in their first innings in this match.
