Seam bowling all-rounder Stuart Binny, on Monday, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

"I would like to inform that I have decided to retire from international and first-class cricket. It has given me tremendous joy and pride to have represented my country at the highest international level," said Binny in a statement.

The 37-year-old made his test debut and ODI debut in 2014 against England and New Zealand, respectively. He earned his T20I cap in 2015 against Zimbabwe. 

Binny has registered the best ODI bowling figures for India - 6/4, against Bangladesh in 2014. He last played for India in 2016 against West Indies in a T20I game. 

Hailing from Karnataka, Binny has been one of the top players for his state. In 95 first-class matches, he scored 4796 runs and took 148 wickets. In List-A cricket, he made 1788 runs and picked up 99 wickets in 100 matches. He made 1641 runs and took 73 wickets in 150 T20s. 

"I would like to acknowledge the huge role the BCCI has played in my cricketing journey. Their support and faith over the years have been invaluable. My cricketing journey would not even have started had it not been for Karnataka state and their support. It has been an honour to captain and win trophies with my state."

For India, he played six tests, 14 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, in which he only managed to score 459 runs and 24 wickets. 

Stuart Binny played 95 IPL matches in which he scored 880 runs and picked 22 wickets across three franchises - Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians.

"Cricket runs through my blood, and I will always look to give back to the game that has given me everything. I thank you all for your continued support in my next innings," Binny concluded.
