Suryakumar's Blitzy Knock Guides India To 7-Wicket Win In 3rd T20I Against West Indies
India are now leading 2-1 in the 5-match T20I series against West Indies.
WI vs IND 3rd T20I: Courtesy of Suryakumar Yadav's blitzy knock, India were able to chase down the target of 165 in 19 overs and win the match by 7 wickets. Suryakumar had been out of touch in the last few matches but the batter gained his form at the top order as he played a match-winning knock.
Rohit Sharma was retired hurt inside the powerplay and Suryakumra Yadav and Shreyas Iyer etched a partnership of 86 between them. Suryakumar was dismissed in the 15th over after smashing 76 runs in 44 balls with 8 fours & 4 sixes.

Rishabh Pant (338) and Deepak Hooda (4*) in the end took team India to a comfortable win with 7 wickets in hand and an over remaining. For West Indies, Dominic Drakes, Jason Holder and Akeal Hosein picked up 1 wicket each. India are now leading 2-1 in the 5-match T20I series.
In the first innings, After a good start, West Indies batting failed to capitalize on it and went on to post 164/5 in 20 overs against a good Indian bowling performance.
After Hardik Pandya got the opening breakthrough in the 8th over in the form of Brandon King (20), the Indian bowlers pulled things back. However, Powell (23*) and Hetmyer (20*) finished off with a flurry of boundaries to help West Indies to a fighting total.
For West Indies, opener Kyle Mayers was the top scorer with 73 runs off 50 balls with 8 fours & 4 sixes, but none of the other batters could contribute and help the hosts to a good score.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 2 wickets for team India while Hardik Pandya grabbed 1 wicket, which was his career's 50th T20I wicket as he provided India with the opening breakthrough. Arshdeep Singh also picked up 1 wicket.
