SA vs NED: Netherlands stuns and rattles giant South Africa after winning the game by 13 runs in the important match of Group B here at Adelaide.

While defending the target of 159, the Netherlands team delivered a flattering performance which was enough to shock the South African team.

Brandon Glover was the man on the hunt as he bowled at an economy of 4.50 and got 3 wickets by giving just 9 runs in  3 overs. Fred Klaassen sent Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram to the pavilion and struck 2 important wickets for his team.

Apart from them Paul van Meekeren (1/33 in 3 overs) and Bas de Leede (2/25 in 3 overs) finished their World Cup campaign win team's winning cause.

South African batters on the other hand stumbled at the time when the team needed them the most. Rilee Rossouw (25), Heinrich Klaasen (21), and Temba Bavuma (20) were the top three run-getters for the team.  

Earlier, after winning the toss South Africa prevented the Netherlands to score a good total after restricting them to 150/6 in a must-win match of Group B.

South Africa came to bowl first where the spinner Keshav Maharaja struck 2 wickets out of 27 runs at a time when the Netherlands was looking in a good position with 97/1 till the 13th over.

Spearhead Anrich Nortje demonstrated his form and bowled at an economy of 2.50 where he got 1/10. Aiden Markram scalped the opening wicket in the form of Stephan Myburgh. Markram ended with 1/16 in 2 overs.

In the first half ace South African pacer Kagiso Rabada looked tedious as he bowled at an economy of 12.30 and leaked 37 runs in 3 overs.

The Netherlands lied their loose ends in this match as their batting performed well. Stephen Myburg scored 376 runs in 30 balls with 7 fours, Max ODown got slow 29 of 31 balls. The opening combination got 58 runs first wicket stand.

Tom Cooper looked good with the bat as he smashed 35 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes and played at a strike rate of 184.21. In the end, Colin Ackermann thrashed 41 runs in 26 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes the leading runs which took the Dutch team to a good total.
