BAN vs ZIM: Taskin Ahmed, Mossadek, and Mustafizur Rahman take Bangladesh to a convincing win by 3 runs in a thriller against Zimbabwe here at The Gabba, Brisbane.

Zimbabwe came to chase the target of 151 but got in trouble when the team lost 4/35 during the powerplay. In-form Wesley Medhevere (4), Craig Ervine (8), Milton Shumba (8), and star all-rounder Sikandar Raza to get out for a duck.

Sean Williams with his valorous fifty kept Zimbabwe in the game. Williams scored 64 runs from 42 balls, including 8 fours. He got supported by Ryan Burl who got crucial unbeaten 27 runs in 25 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. 

Both the batters gathered an important partnership of 66 runs but couldn't able to put the final nail in the coffin.

Bangladesh bowlers bowled well in the match, their most successful bowler Taskin Ahmed once again proved his caliber as he just not scalped 3 wickets by giving meager 19 runs but also bowled a maiden over out of 4.

Apart from him, experienced pacer Mustafizur Rahman carried out gritty intent and bowled at an outstanding economy of 3.80 with 2 dismissals for 15. 

Mosaddek Hossain came to bowl the final over where Zimbabwe needed 16 runs, but the spinner did not let pressure come on him and game 12 runs and got two important wickets which made him the hero of the match.

Earlier, after winning the toss, amazing bowling by Muzarabani and Ngarava helped Zimbabwe restrict Bangladesh to 150/7 at the Gabba, Brisbane.

Bangladesh better Nazmul Shanto's 71 runs off 55 balls, including 7 fours and one 6. Afif Hossain became the second-best scorer with 29 of 19 deliveries with one six and one four.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan contributed 23 runs due to which the team went to a respectable and defendable total against Zimbabwe.

On the other hand Zimbabwe bold incredibly well and their line and length surprised the opponents. Ngarava (2/24) and Muzarabani (2/13 in 2 overs) jolted the Bangladesh batting line-up. 

Apart from the star all-rounder Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams grabbed one wicket each and also their team to thwart the opponents early.
