Big Bash League 2021-22: 25th match of the BBL between Sydney Sixers & Brisbane Heat was one of the closest encounters in this season. Brisbane Heat won the toss & opted to bat first, and were reduced to 46/6 in 10.6 overs.

However, Max Bryant added 22 runs & Wildermuth added 27 runs, and consequently Brisbane Heat managed to cross the 100-run mark, posting 105 before getting all out. Sean Abbot picked up 4 wickets while Hayden Kerr & Dwarshuis picked up 2 wickets each. Christian picked up 1 as well.

In reply, Sydney Sixers had a devastating start as well as they were struggling at 47/8 in 12.5 overs. All Heat bowlers were picking up regular wickets and had Sydney Sixers in their grasp until the highest wicket-taker of first innings, Sean Abbott, took matters in his hand. 

Sean Abbott scored an unbeaten 37 off 43 balls, and while wickets kept falling at the other end, he held his end and took Sixers to an unbelievable win. Sean also smacked 2 fours & 2 sixes in his innings and was rightfully adjudged the man of the match. On the last ball of the match, when 1 run needed, Sean Abbott smacked a four and no one could believe this spectacle.

While talking about the match, Sydney Sixers restricted Brisbane Heat to 105 in 19.1 overs. Wildermuth remained the top scorer with 27 while Abbott was the highest wicket-taker with 4 wickets. In reply, Sydney Sixers managed to chase down the target on the last ball of 20th over.
