The English team went for the DRS, and the Impact was called 'Umpire's Call' which saved Aussie skipper Steve Smith. Broad looked utterly disappointed with this decision and regretted celebrating so early.

Although Smith couldn't build on this opportunity and was dismissed for 6 after facing 31 deliveries. In the first innings, Australia declared on 473/9 after batting for almost 2 days in this pink ball day-night test, courtesy of Labuschagne's ton, and fifties from David Warner, Steve Smith & Alex Carey. In reply, England were bundled for 236/10.
