Apart from being the brand ambassador, Kohli has made some smart investments right from the age of 25. From mobile gaming to fashion, Virat has invested in everything.

According to ETNowNews, his first big investment was buying a stake in a London-based social media startup called Sports Convo, which aims to bridge the gap between sports stars and fans. The amount is undisclosed so far.

In 2019, according to Indian Express, Kohli invested in Galactus Funware Technology Pvt Ltd, the company that owns Mobile Premier League(MPL) - current Indian kit sponsor and merchandise partner. Kohli was allotted 33.32 lakh worth debentures which will convert into equity shares with a conversion ratio of 1:1 after 10 years, making him a 0.051% stakeholder of Galactus Funware.

His investment in MPL's parent company ran into controversy over conflict of interest however a legal expert said: "the small size of the investment might work in Kohli’s favour. Plus, his inability to influence either the company or BCCI in contract negotiations, since he is the team captain and not in charge of commercial decisions at BCCI, could also be factored in his favour."

In 2020, Virat Kohli made a Rs 19.30 crore investment in a fashion startup - Universal Sportsbiz (USPL). Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar is also an investor in this firm. Kohli has also invested Rs 90 crores in Bangalore based company that owns gyms and fitness centers. Recently, Kohli and Anushka Sharma made a Rs 2.2 crore investment in Digit Insurance.

Apart from this, Virat Kohli also owns a multi-cuisine restaurant called Nueva in his home town Delhi.
