Mumbai, May 19 (IANS) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli was let off on Tuesday after being found guilty of violating the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) anti-corruption code.

Kohli met his girlfriend Bollywood star Anushka Sharma in the stands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during a rain-break in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Delhi Daredevils on Sunday, violating the anti-corruption code.The match was abandoned due to rain.

Kohli was informed of the violation by BCCI anti-corruption unit head Ravi Sawani, reports a cricket website on Tuesday.

He was cleared of the charge as the BCCI viewed the digression as minor.The BCCI found Kohli breaching the rule relating to the minimum standards for Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA).

Kohli chatted with Anushka in the VIP enclosure adjacent to the players' dressing room. 

The International Cricket Council's (ICC) Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) sent a report to Sawani informing about the violation, the cricket-specific website said in a report.

ACSU has been contracted by the BCCI to provide anti-corruption cover during the IPL.RCB will take on Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match in Pune on Wednesday.
